OOPS! The View went into instant meltdown after Sara Haines accidentally slipped and dropped an f-bomb right in front of her stunned co-hosts — and an equally shocked live audience.

THE View descended into mayhem after Sara Haines accidentally let an f-bomb slip during a pre-taped Saturday episode.

The stunned studio audience roared in reaction when the moment unfolded during a lively discussion about Lily Allen and David Harbour.

The View played a clip of Lily’s track Tennis in which she sings about her cheating ex and his mistress.

Lily and Stranger Things star David, 50, split in December and it was later reported he’d had a three-year affair.

Lily, 40, has now released her break-up album, which has been branded her “revenge” album by fans.

Joy Behar led a discussion about the celebrity couple, after hearing a snippet of the record.

She said it was just an innocent game of tennis and she didn’t understand what the issue was.

Joy, 83, said: “One thing that gets me is he’s playing tennis with somebody, he’s not sleeping with them?”

Sara, 48, jumped in to bring Joy up to speed – but with a little too much enthusiasm.

She blurted out: “No he’s also f*****g her!”

The expletive was bleeped out but the audience’s woops and claps made it clear the slip-up was very real.

However, not everyone watching at home bought the idea that Sara swearing was accidental.

Some fans took to Reddit to claim the moment looked planned.

Another questioned the timing: “Wait why wouldn’t they have edited it out?”

A third viewer insisted Joy’s reaction gave it away: “Joy is such a tell because her eyebrows would have been (wide eyed emoji).”

But others defended Sara, saying the relaxed atmosphere of the Saturday taping made such a mistake understandable.

One viewer said “we need more of this” as a second: “I was there for a taping a couple months ago and let’s just say things are very relaxed.”

Another asked the obvious question: “Why edit it out if it was funny?”

Joy was back on screen after going missing from show.

Whoopi Goldberg was forced to explain Joy’s whereabouts and revealed the beloved host had suffered an injury.

Whoopi said: “Well, hello, hello, hello, and welcome to The View, y’all.

“Now, Joy is out because she hurt her foot, and hopefully she’ll be back here tomorrow.”

However, she still hadn’t returned on Thursday and fans have been fearing Joy will retire soon.

However, Joy told viewers last month: “Creative people don’t retire, they don’t resign, they just keep going.”
