A Texas mother was shot and killed over the weekend by her estranged boyfriend in what police are calling an apparent murder-suicide.
On Sunday, May 3, at about 2 a.m., police in Abilene were called to the Vybz nightclub on Eplens Court in response to a report of a shooting, the City of Abilene wrote in a post on May 3.
Officers who arrived at the scene found Ariana Herrera, 25, dead in her vehicle in the parking lot.
A second deceased person, Jalavion Beaver, 26, was located a short distance from her vehicle. He was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Beaver and Herrera were estranged boyfriend and girlfriend, the statement said.

Information at the scene indicates they argued in the parking lot.
Beaver is accused of shooting Herrera while she was in her vehicle before shooting himself, according to the statement.
As authorities continue to investigate, Herrera’s family and friends are mourning her loss.
In a set up to help defray funeral costs and to help support Herrera’s young son, the organizer wrote, “We are heartbroken to share that our beloved sister was taken from us far too soon.”
“She was a light in our lives—kind, loving, and always there when anyone needed her. Her laughter could fill a room, and her heart was bigger than words can describe.”
