In a stunning escalation of industry tensions, federal prosecutors have unsealed a kidnapping and conspiracy case alleging that rapper Pooh Shiesty masterminded the armed robbery of his own label boss, hip-hop icon Gucci Mane. The incident, described in court documents as a meticulously planned “trap,” occurred in a Dallas recording studio on January 10, 2026, and has resulted in charges against nine individuals.
Lantrell Williams Jr., known professionally as Pooh Shiesty, is accused of luring Gucci Mane to Dallas under the pretense of a contract negotiation. Upon arrival, Gucci Mane and two associates were allegedly confronted by nine armed men.
