The show has had numerous disruptions to its regular programming in recent weeks

The calendar shows a gap in filming from December 22 to January 5, indicating the show will go dark during that time.
It also notes that two episodes will be taped on December 18, presumably filming episodes for that Thursday and Friday, the final new episodes of the year.
It isn’t unusual for the program to take a prolonged break for the holiday season, but that didn’t stop fans from sharing their disappointment over the significant scheduling change.
“Does 12 days of holidays means there is only 12 more shows before they go on hiatus??” one viewer asked in a Reddit thread.
“Oh its not back until Jan 5! thats a really long time, ugh!” a second complained.
“Are they always off for two weeks for christmas?” another wondered.
“Last show should be the 19th. Christmas is in the middle of the next week,” a fourth confirmed.
It’s only been three months since The View resumed after an over-a-month-long summer break.
Co-stars Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin returned to the panel after going their separate ways from late July until right after Labor Day.
Upon their return, Alyssa announced she’s expecting her first child after years of trying to conceive.
There have also been several sudden cast changeups that have affected the show’s normal operation.
For one, Whoopi missed two weeks of shows while filming a guest role for the Italian soap opera Un Posto al Sole in November.
Shortly after, Joy, who typically serves as the show’s moderator in Whoopi’s absence, also abandoned her post for a week after suffering a serious foot injury.
The comedian later explained that she dropped an iPad on her foot, resulting in a broken and severely bruised toe.
The View has since made adjustments to its opening format, with the cast now starting the show seated to accommodate the veteran host.
